Benefits
Generation of clean, green renewable energy
With advances in turbine technology, the project is able to deliver substantial environmental benefits, by offsetting CO2 emiited by producing electricity from fossil fuels.
Community Benefit
In line with industry best-practice, a community benefit fund of £5,000 per MW would be offered for the lifespan of the wind farm (once operational) for environmental and community projects or initiatives.
Community Shared Ownership
The Government recently asked the renewables industry to consider offering shared ownership of onshore wind projects to communities. We would like to find out whether there is interest in principle in this option for Blarghour Wind Farm. If this is of interest to you, please do get in touch with us.
